Boston International High School History
In September 2003 Boston International High School opened its doors on Glen Rd. in Jamaica Plain.
Year: 2003-2009
Newcomers Academy opened in February 2009 co-locating with the King Middle School. In September of 2009 Boston International relocated from Jamaica Plain and co-located with Newcomers Academy. In 2010 there was a change in leadership and structure as BPS determined to have Boston International High School and Newcomers Academy function as one school.
Year: 2009-2012
In September 2012, after planning sessions and the development of a Vision and Mission statement, the school community took on the name Boston International Newcomers Academy or BINcA for short.
